About the Author

Lori Austin-Cole Wilson is a former educator/administrator in the field of special needs for teenagers and adults. Her resume includes both clinical and non-clinical settings and populations. She is the caregiver for a young adult diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome (an autism spectrum disorder.) His previous diagnoses have included: ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, Tourettes Syndrome, Pervasive Developmental Disorder, Non-verbal Learning Disabilities, Partial Complex seizures, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Lori has facilitated programming and treatment; coordinating the services of  OT, PT, Speech and Language, social skills, special education (both local and residential),  Neurological, Pediatric, and Psychological services. She has completed a Master’s Degree in professional  counseling specializing in the area of support for individuals with neurological deficits.
